ONE WEEK to reserve your CHSH room!
Information on the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza is here. The block of rooms is called "Chicago(ish) Tweetup."
If you call and find that the block of rooms is closed, please call Diane Fuentes at 312.529.1115. Diane is great; she's the sales rep in charge of our event and she can arrange to open more rooms if any are still available and she can also make sure you get the $129 group rate.
The regular rate is about twice the group rate, and AAA isn't much better, so now isn't the time to procrastinate.
If you're looking to share a room, post in the forums and ask if anyone wants to bunk with you. Many of our attendees share rooms, so don't be shy.

Just booked my room for Friday and Saturday night. The reservation went very smoothly and they didn't even laugh when I said "tweetup," even though I did a little bit.
I booked, but there are just a few rooms left. Get on it, kids!
I called earlier today and they put me through to someone's voicemail (which was weird since all I said was I needed to book under a group rate). I left a message for whoever that person was and never heard back. Just called again and they put me through to the regular reservations person, but now the block is full. I'll call Diane on Monday (I'm guessing she only works weekdays?). Grrr.
Goldengateblond - You might want to leave a message at Diane's # so she'll be on it and aware of the situation first thing when she gets in on Monday. I'm not sure whose voice mail you were connected to, but in my experience over the past year, Diane's been great about returning calls promptly. Good luck and please let us know if you experience any problems. If they have rooms available to open up, they should do that when they're able to early next week.
I was *just* able to book a room at the group rate and yes, Diane was delightful to work with.
(Yes, I know I was totally tardy, but my life is very complicated because I'm such an important fellow in the world.)
(Stop laughing! It's at least true in my head!)
Hey, that's terrific news. This hotel has been great to work with every single time. Glad to hear you got in, Super Important Guy.
Left a message for Diane, and am really hoping my slacker tendencies didn't screw me this time. If it doesn't work, I might be looking to share a room.
They gave me a room at the group rate with no questions asked. Yay!
